Ms. Bailey Mourant

Ms. Bailey Mourant is a Project Manager at Burdock Group Consultants, an international safety and regulatory compliance consulting firm in Orlando, Florida, USA. Burdock Group provides unparalleled expertise in food, beverage, dietary supplements, pet food, animal feed, and cosmetics to meet FDA, USDA, AAFCO and EPA requirements.

Prior to joining Burdock Group, Bailey worked as a Medical Scientist for the University of Florida, using Hollow Fiber Systems to study the pharmacokinetics of infectious diseases. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Central Florida, where her undergraduate research focused on the development of a novel drug screen against M. tuberculosis.

Throughout her professional career, Bailey has been heavily involved serving the chemistry community at the local, national, and international levels. As Chair-Elect and Governance Chair of the International Younger Chemists Network, Bailey helped organized the inaugural and highly successful IYCN General Assembly. She serves on a handful of IUPAC project task groups, including the Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB) organizing team and subsequently initiated the first GWB in Orlando, Florida, USA. 

Bailey also has a long history of involvement with the American Chemical Society, initially through her service as President and Vice President of her ACS Student Chapter at UCF, next as Secretary of her ACS Orlando Local Section, and now as an Associate Member of the National ACS Younger Chemists Committee.
